• Goodwill Industries Week, held this year from May 4-10, was a time for us to acknowledge Arizona's communities for helping Goodwill achieve its Mission of Putting People to Work!

Goodwill Industries Week provided an opportunity to educate the public about the numerous services and programs that we provide to Arizona's workforce and economy.

Goodwill's Chief Operating Officer Tim O'Neal recently submitted a Letter to the Editor to Valley newspapers explaining that Goodwill isn't just simply a place to find affordable, gently used merchandise, but a well-respected, established organization that helps individuals overcome their barriers and find self-sufficiency through the power of work.

• The East Valley Tribune recently published an article, "Goodwill Career Center helps job seekers," about our newest store located at Apache Trail and Signal Butte Road in east Mesa. Our 40th store includes the newest Goodwill Career Center, which offers social and career services to anyone who needs help landing a job.

• Goodwill of Central Arizona was recently featured in an Arizona Republic article, "Bargains to be found at new Goodwill store," about Ahwatukee's anticipation for the new Goodwill retail store which will open on Friday. Click here for more information about the Ahwatukee grand opening!

• Goodwill of Central Arizona was recently featured in an EVLiving.com article, "Keep Old Clothes out of Waste Stream; Recycle," which encourages people to donate their clothes no matter how old or shabby. Goodwill sends your old pieces of small and large fabric to recyclers who help the world's environment by making good use of those textiles.

• Are you looking for ways to turn your old clothes into works of art and new fashions? ExpertVillage.com is featuring a video series called, "How to Recycle Old Clothes into New Fashions," which helps people transform their used garments into creative masterpieces!
