Dennis Mitchem has served as Northern Arizona University’s Director of Corporate Relations since 1998. Prior to that, he served as Executive Director of Habitat for Humanity, Valley of the Sun, and as a project manager of major federal government contracts, including Local Privatization Center project for United States Agency for International Development in Moscow, Russia and the Resolution Trust Corporation financial processing center in Denver, Colorado. Mr. Mitchem also spent forty years in finance—as an accountant, auditor and consultant. He currently serves as a board member and volunteer for several civic and humanitarian organizations, as well as chairman of the audit committee and member of the board of director of Spirit Finance Corporation, and as a consultant for the United States Agency for International Development regarding the emerging accounting professions in southeast Europe. Mr. Mitchem graduated with distinction from the University of Nebraska.
